Customers

Customers (aka dealers) is the collection of business parties that the rep firm sells the vendor products to. The OrderWiz Customer module is used to enter and maintain information about all of the customers, their locations and contacts.

Feature	Description
Generic Customer Lookup	When entering a customer or searching for a customer, it is not necessary to enter the full name. Enter as many characters as necessary as to limit the search results. And you don’t have to worry about dashes and spaces because OrderWiz ignores such characters when searching for customers.
Unlimited Number of Customer DBA’s	Customers can go by a number of different names. There is the store-front name. There is possibly the legal name. The customer may have a DBA based on the owner’s name. In OrderWiz, a customer may have any number of DBA’s. Any one of the customer’s DBA can be used to locate the customer.
Unlimited Number of Customer Locations	A customer can have an unlimited number of locations. There is always a main location and at least one ship-to location. (The main location and the ship-to location may be one and the same.) The may be one or more retail locations.
Easy Change Customer’s Name	Changing a customer name is not an issue in OrderWiz. The only requirement is that a customer name must be unique.
Merge Customers	Customer records can be easily merged in OrderWiz. This is particular important when a customer is added a second time in OrderWiz. All history is combined into one customer.
Merge Customer Locations	One customer location can be combined into another customer location. This is useful if a customer location were entered twice. All history is combined into one customer location.
Search for Customers by State, City, Zip, Vendor	It is possible to search for customers based on customer name (including all DBA’s), state, city, Zip code, within so many miles of a zip code or vendor. Any combination of these predicates maybe used.
Unlimited Number of Contacts	In OrderWiz, customer contacts are maintained at the customer location level. Any location may have any number of contacts.
Special Instructions	Special instruction may be maintained for any customer. These special instructions will be automatically placed on any order for that customer.
Notes	Notes, which are instructions to the sales administrators concerning this customer, will be automatically available when an order is being placed for the customer.

The Order Entry and Sales Reports modules can be operate effectively at the home office or on the road by using Dial Up Networking, or a VPN.
